I can begin to imagine how my distant ancestors might have been attracted on a slow, generation-by-generation migration from north Staffordshire through these limestone dales during the sixteenth century before making the next step over the gritstone fells and moors into south Yorkshire during the seventeenth century.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Born and brought up in edge hill,I attended the school that is on the map it was then called paddington comprehensive not archbishop blanche as it is now.A caretaker who worked at the school showed a few of us who were prefects and sworn to silence a small opening under the sports hall which was basicaly a small tunnel.And that is not shown on the map.Cant remember the name of the street he said it might lead to but may have been mason street or some similar name.The caretakers name was Eddie,He showed us some very old metal drinking cups which were found by some builers who worked on the school,he also kept in his office what he said were musket balls.There were etchings of a horse pulling some kind of huge gun on the cups,,now wish I could have aquired them somehow...anyway thats the story folks..]]></description>
